Louis Pierre Gratiolet

Louis -Pierre Gratiolet ( born July 6, 1815 in Sainte -Foy- la -Grande, Gironde, † February 16, 1865 in Paris) was a French physician, and zoologist.

Gratiolet was from 1863 professor of zoology at the Science Faculty of the University of Paris. He worked in the fields of anthropology, anatomy of the brain and of physiognomy. According to him, a part of the visual pathway ( Gratiolet - optic radiation, optic radiation ) is named.
