Louis, Prince of Hohenlohe-Langenburg

Ludwig, Count of Hohenlohe- Langenburg (* October 20, 1696 in Langenburg, † January 16, 1765 ibid ) was Count of Hohenlohe -Langenburg and was raised on January 7, 1764 by Emperor Franz I in the Imperial Prince.

Biography

He was a son of Count Albrecht Wolfgang of Hohenlohe- Langenburg and Countess Sophia Amalia of Nassau- Saarbrücken.

Under Count Louis several conversions on Castle Langenburg was made, the east wing was provided with its present form and further modifications in the Baroque style took place. He also had the pleasure as a summer residence and hunting lodge Ludwig rest on the grounds of the former hamlet Lindenbronn, next to the Hunting Park already invested there in 1588, built according to plans by Leopold Retty.

Family

On January 23, 1723 he married his cousin, Countess Eleonore of Nassau- Saarbrücken ( 1707-1769 ), daughter of Count Louis of Nassau- Saarbrücken force and his wife Countess Philippine Henriette of Hohenlohe- Langenburg ( a sister of his father ).

From this marriage the following thirteen children were born:
