Louis-quinze

Louis XV is in the period from about 1730 to 1755 more pronounced in France art and interior design style. The name derives from King Louis XV. and his reign from, similar to its predecessor Louis XIV and his successor, Louis XVI. whose respective era is also known as Louis- Quatorze and Louis XVI.

The style is characterized by the abandonment of the strict baroque forms which have marked under the Sun King, towards the lighter and more intimate forms of the Rococo to the Louis XV is counted. Instead of taking the Louis Quatorze ubiquitous colored marble surfaces were now precious woods and bright wall surfaces in the foreground, typical of the Louis qunize is the use of gold-plated filigree scrollwork.
