Louis Thiry

Louis Thiry (* 1935 in Fléville- devant -Nancy ) is a French composer, organist and music teacher. He is a teacher at the Conservatoire National de Région de Rouen.

Besides teaching he gives concerts, dedicated to broadcasting and recorded music and participates in numerous festivals Parti around the world.

His repertoire ranges from the 13th to the 20th century. His curiosity led him to deal with the wealth of medieval music. By Johann Sebastian Bach, he is encouraged to constantly studies. He took on the Art of the Fugue and the Well-Tempered Clavier. However, Louis Thiry has a penchant for 20th century composers, especially for Jean -Pierre Legay, Alain Mabit and Olivier Messiaen. In addition to his activities as a soloist Louis Thiry playing in ensembles and often works with various singers and instrumentalists, in particular Henri Ledroit and Patrick Bismuth.

He has the permission to play for the historic Lefebvre organs (18th century) in the Chapelle du Centre Hospitalier Universitaire " Charles Nicolle " in Rouen.
