Louis Tiercelin

Louis Tiercelin (* 1849 in Rennes, † June 2, 1915 in Paramé ) was a French poet and dramatist.

Tiercelin debuted in 1867 and 1868 with the plays L' Occasion fait le Larron and ne fait pas le L'Habit moine, both of which were listed in Rennes. His first book of poetry Les Asphodèles reflected the Catholic environment in his Breton home. He published Le Breton contemporain Parnassus, founded in 1889, the magazine L'Hermine, which he headed until 1912 and thus became an important promoter of Breton literature and poetry. International success had his play Le Sacrement de Judas, which was performed in London by Forbes Robertson and the United States of Kyrle Bellew.
