Louis V. Arco

Lutz Altschul, also known as Louis V. Arco ( born July 24, 1899 in Baden bei Wien, † April 3, 1975 in Zurich ) was an Austrian actor.

Life

Altschul attended a military school during World War II. After the war, he began his acting career in 1919. He came in 1922 to Leipzig, where he first stepped in front of the movie camera.

Since 1923, he played in Berlin theaters and worked beside in some silent films. After the seizure of power in 1933, he emigrated to Ostrava, then to Switzerland and the USA in 1939. Under the name of Louis V. Arco, he took numerous small roles in productions of Warner Bros., often as a foreigner or Wehrmacht soldier in anti-Nazi films.

In 1946, Altschul back to Europe and lived in Switzerland and Austria. He stepped still on in several films and series, and played among others in Salzburg and Gelsenkirchen Theatre.
