The Municipal Louise - Schroeder -Gymnasium is a secondary school in Munich- Allach- Untermenzing.
History
The Louise - Schroeder -Gymnasium 1982 changed the location. The old building is the schoolhouse of the Käthe- Kollwitz -Gymnasium, as well as the branch in the Allacher road. The school is on the SPD politician and Mayor of Berlin of 1947/1948, Louise Schroeder, named. The new building is part of a school center with the primary school to the priest -Grimm -Straße and the Carl - Spitzweg -Realschule. Currently, about 1,050 students visit the Louise - Schroeder -Gymnasium and there are about 70 teachers.
Lessons
At the Louise - Schroeder -Gymnasium, there are two branches of education: the scientific- technological branch with English as a first and French as a second foreign language as well as the modern languages branch with English as a first, second and Latin as Italian or French as a third language.
Bläserklasse
Since the school year 2002/2003 there are in each year of the 5th and 6th grade a Bläserklasse. These classes have two years in addition to the normal teaching the subject Klassenmusizieren and separate instrumental lessons in small groups in the afternoon. In the school year 2005/2006 there were two brass classes for 5th and 6th grade.
Computer
The Louise - Schroeder -Gymnasium was one of the first schools in Munich, received a (broadband ) internet access, which could also be used by students. This concept was developed in the framework of the competition InfoSCHUL the Federal Ministry of Culture and Education and updated until today. Software Development
Since 2004/2005 the Louise - Schroeder -Gymnasium for the reservation of the computer rooms sets a reservation a plan based on PHP and MySQL. The program replaces the previously used Excel spreadsheets and was developed by students of the LSG based on the GPL. This program is now being used by Käthe -Kollwitz -Gymnasium.
Based on the space - reservation a web interface for distributing the coach of the high ropes course the city of Munich has been developed. Since 2006 this software is in use.
Famous former pupils
Max Wiedemann and Quirin Berg, two former students of the Municipal Louise - Schroeder -Gymnasium, in 2006 won the German Film Award in Gold as well as an Oscar in 2007 for her film The Lives of Others. On the occasion of this success attended grades 9-11 a movie showing of the film, in which even Max Wiedemann was present and answered questions from the students.
