Louisiana State Capitol

The Louisiana State Capitol is a parliament building in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It houses the state legislature Louisiana, the governor's office, and parts of the executive.

In 1928, Huey Pierce Long, former Governor of the State of Louisiana, the idea to build a new Capitol. The building, completed in 1932 has been built according to the plans of Dreyfous and Seiferth White Art Deco. It is with its 137 meter high tower the tallest Capitol of the United States and the tallest building in the city.
