Louisville Blades
The Louisville Blades were an American ice hockey franchise in the International Hockey League from Louisville, Kentucky. The venue for the Blades were the Louisville Gardens.
History
The Louisville Blades were founded in 1948 as a franchise of the International Hockey League. Although the team in their first season in first place of the South Division, they moved before the season 1948/49, in the United States Hockey League, where they finished sixth, before the franchise was dissolved after only two years. The Blades were the first IHL team from Louisville. Then pass the Louisville Shooting Stars (1953 /54) and the Louisville Rebels ( 1957-1960 ) played in the city.
