Lounès Gaouaoui

Lounès Gaouaoui ( born September 28, 1977 in Tizi Ouzou ) is an Algerian football goalkeeper. Since 2009 he is the Algerian club ASO Chlef under contract.

Career

Gaouaoui began playing football in 1990 in the Sports School of USM Dra Ben Khedda in Algeria. As a 20 - year-old he was brought into the first team and stayed another two seasons at his training club before the Algerian top club JS Kabylie discovered it and 1999 under contract. The goalkeeper talent did a total of eight long years with JS Kabylie, was there twice Algerian champion and took 2000, 2001 and 2002, three times the CAF Cup. 2007 moved to WA Tlemcen Gaouaoui, then he moved on to USM Annaba and finally to ASO Chlef.

2001 Lounès Gaouaoui first played for the Algerian national football team, lost in his debut but with 0-1 against Senegal. Since his debut, he is goalkeeper for the national team, but missed out on the African Cup of Nations because of appendicitis in 2010 in Angola. In the summer of the same year he was part of the Algerian squad at the World Cup in South Africa, but came to no use.
