Loure

The Loure is a slow dance of French origin, which dates from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is in 3/4- or 6/4-Takt.

This dance is sometimes referred to as a slow gigue or Gigue lente. The structure is mostly a dance movement form or binary form |: A: | |: B: | or |: A: | |: A: |.
