Love Conquers All

Omnia vincit amor, Latin for "Love conquers all ", the motto of many knights and minstrels in the 13th and 14th century. The phrase is often symbolized by an A in the arms or on the leinernen union.

The saying goes back to a quote from Virgil's Eclogue 10 (10, 69): omnia vincit amor.

This is often erroneously cited as amor vincit omnia.
