Love Symphony

Love Symphony ( German: "Love Symphony ") was the Slovenian contribution to the Euro Vision Song Contest 2009 It was composed by Andrej Babić and Aleksandar Valenčić and interpreted by Quartissimo and Martina Majerle. .

It is the first English-language contribution of Slovenia in the Euro Vision Song Contest since Anžej Dežans Mr Nobody from the year 2006 and the first winner of Slovenia's preliminary decision in English (Mr Nobody by Dezan was, for example, in the original version in Slovenian, as well as all other contributions in Slovenia so far )

Content

In the song, the bulk of which consists of background music, it's about two lovers. One asks the other, imagine how they fly over the ocean and how they feel free in this " Love Symphony". It makes you feel outside of space and time, and forever free.

Controversies

The victory at the Slovenian national preliminary decision, the EMA 2009 was accompanied by lots of controversies. So Quartissimo and Martina Majerle have won the finals only by the jury's decision the qualifying round: from the televoting they only got seven points from the jury, but the maximum number of points, namely twelve. The favorite of the phone vote, Zaigraj muzikant of Skupina Langa & Manca, but got the jury a single point.

When Euro Vision Song Contest

Slovenia started the Euro Vision Song Contest 2009 second semi-final on May 14, starting with number ten behind Denmark and in Hungary, reached there by 14 points to 16th place and did not reach the final.
