Love is an album by British rock band The Cult. The album was released in 1985 by the label Beggars Banquet Records. The plate was brought in nearly 30 countries worldwide on the market and has sold about 2.5 million copies. With this record, The Cult reached its commercial breakthrough in England and in the United States, the success was achieved largely world. In the U.S., the album remained underestimated, according to critics.

The album was recorded in Jacob's studio in Farnham, Surrey, July-August 1985.

Several European CD releases, as well as the Canadian and Australian publication, containing two bonus tracks: Little Face ( Track 4 ) and Judith (Track 11).

The album was re-released in different versions and remastered in 2000 and 2009.

Reception

Eduardo Rivadavia of Allmusic wrote the album benefit from a " wonderful sense of freedom. " He called Love the " purest moment " by The Cult. He forgave four out of five stars.
