Love the Hard Way

Love the Hard Way is an American film drama directed by Peter Sehr from the year 2001. Starring Adrien Brody.

Action

The small-time crook Jack is a member of a gang that cheating wealthy people. He likes to read books and dreams of a career as a writer.

One day he met the student at the Columbia University Claire that fascinates him. Also it exerts on the woman from a strong attraction. Jack is afraid of the committed relationship. When Claire away for a few weeks, Jack is cheating on her with Pamela and gets caught by the unexpected return of Claire.

Claire is thrown out of its orbit, it is dedicated to prostitution. Jack notes that he loves Claire. In one of the fraud Jack and his accomplice Charlie are arrested. You are sentenced to long prison sentences. Claire cuts her wrists, the police finds them and saves the last moment.

Jack gets into a fight in prison, he is seriously injured and later released on parole. Back in the freedom he meets up with Claire.

Peter Sehr won the 2001 Silver Leopard at the International Locarno Film Festival and was nominated for the Golden Leopard. He also won the Bavarian Film Prize 2002.

Adrien Brody and Charlotte Ayanna won 2002 each have a price of French Festival International du Film d' Action et d' Aventure.
