Low (Band)

Low is an American band from Duluth, Minnesota. She plays since 1993 slow to very slow independent music. The band is considered one of the pioneers of the subgenre Slowcore, even if they themselves reject this label. Singer Alan Sparhawk According to that name is derived from a friend of the band, but was rather meant as a joke, as he dropped it once in an interview, which contributed to the establishment of the concept. The founding members Sparhawk (guitar, vocals) and Mimi Parker ( drums, vocals ) currently play with bassist Steve Garrington in the proven trio lineup. Parker and Sparhawk are married, have two children and are Mormons.
