The Löwenbräu Aktiengesellschaft is one of the oldest breweries in Munich. Since 1997 she has been on together with Spaten Spaten- Löwenbräu of the group, which in turn is part of the Anheuser -Busch InBev Group.

History

The brewery was founded in 1383 probably already: The brewer Erhart from the narrow lane appears in the tax book of the city. 1524 was a Jörg Schnaitter pierprew, called on the estate in the Lion's Den 17. Production

The filling was moved from Nymphenburgerstraße in the now rented by Spaten-Franziskaner brewery site in the Martian road. The local brewhouse spade was decommissioned in 2005. The premises of the bottling plant to the Dachau / sand and Nymphenburgerstraße were demolished in 2007 for redevelopment ( Nymphenburg yards ) to a large extent.

The only remaining building of the original brewery are at the Karl- Nymphenburg - sand road, the brewhouse and the fermenting room and the listed Lowenbrau Keller at the corner of Dachau / Nymphenburgerstraße.
