LSV Danzig

The Air Force Sports Club Gdansk (short Air Force SV Danzig) was a military sports club from the located in present-day Poland Gdansk.

History

The club was founded in June 1941 and consisted mainly of flak soldiers. The team, whose ranks excellent players from Bytom, Hirschberg, Leipzig, Wuppertal, Hamborn, Bochum and Gladbeck stood, and could put up with goalkeeper Matuschek a player from Austria Wien, took from the season 1942/43, the Football League operation of Gauliga Danzig-West Prussia part. Here, the club was able to win the runner-up in the first season. 1944 Danziger Gauligameister and qualified for the final round of the German soccer championship 1943/44, in which they, however, already in the first round failed to Hertha BSC.

Following the club took no more due to the war part of the game operation.
