LSV Pütnitz

The Air Force Sports Club Pütnitz, often abbreviated as LSV Pütnitz, was a sports club at the airbase at Pütnitz Damgarten.

History

The LSV Pütnitz was founded in 1936. Just two years later the football team promotion to the Gauliga Pomerania. Although there could be managed as seventh in the league, due to the outbreak of war was abandoned, however, to participate in the season 1939/40, and played again only second-rate. However, the immediate resurgence and the LSV could henceforth compete for the championship Pomerania succeeded. In 1941, the club had to settle for the runner-up behind the LSV Szczecin, 1942-1944 succeeded three times each without loss of point group victory in the season of the West Gauliga.

1942 brought the LSV Pütnitz by a 6-1 victory against Viktoria Stolp, the winner of the Oststaffel, the title of Master Pomerania and thus qualified for the final round of the German Cup 1941/42, where they were beaten in the first round at the SpVgg Blau - White 1890 Berlin failed by a 1-3 defeat. In the following season the team had to compete for the championship against the LSV Pomerania Kamp- Koszalin in the game. By a 1-1 draw and a 3-1 victory, she qualified for championship finals 1942/43. The Berliner SV 92 was able to prevail after two games in the first main round - the first game ended in a 2-2 draw after extra time, so a playoff was needed, the 2-0 decision of the Berlin club for themselves. In 1944, the third title was missed in the Pomerania championship in a row against HSV Groß Born. Towards the later semi-finalists of the championship finals failed the team after a 1-1 draw in the first game by a 0-3 defeat.

Besides the two finals appearances in the championship of the LSV Pütnitz Germany could well draw attention to themselves in the Cup. In Tschammerpokal 1942 and in Tschammerpokal 1943, the team different from each in the second round.

In the turmoil of the Second World War, the club was disbanded in September 1944.
