LTV Super Cup

The LTV Super Cup ( formerly FA Shield, Shield and Stylianakis Pakkos Shield) is a Cypriot football competition, meet at the beginning of a season of Cypriot champion and the Cypriot Cup winners last season in a single game. Should a team have won the Double, this plays against the Cup finalists. For the past 20 years, the final will be held in Nicosia.

For the first time the Super Cup in 1950 was organized under the name Pakkos Shield. The first title winner was SK Cetinkaya Turk. At the time of the double winners were automatically Cup winner. Between 1969 and 1978, the Super Cup was not played and started again until 1979 under the name Stylianakis Shield.

In 1989, the trophy in the FA Shield ( Shield Football Association ) was renamed before it was again renamed LTV Super Cup 2008. The record holder is Omonia Nicosia with 16 victories.
