Lü Lin

Lü Lin ( born April 6, 1969 in Wenjing ( Zhejiang Province ) ) is a Chinese table tennis player. He is Olympic champion and two-time world champion in doubles.

Lü Lin began at age six with the table tennis sport. In 1987 he was included in the national team. He had his greatest successes in a double with Wang Tao. With it he won in all three world championships in which he participated, medals: 1991 Silver, 1993 and 1995 gold. He finished second in 1993 with the Chinese team. At the Olympic Summer Games in 1992, the duo won the gold medal, 1996, won silver behind Liu Guoliang / Kong Linghui.

In the 1994/95 season Lü Lin played in the German Bundesliga TTC Jülich, then he went to Japan.
