Lü Meng

Lü Meng (Chinese吕蒙/吕蒙; * 178, † 219 ) was an important Chinese general of Wu Dynasty during the Three Kingdoms period.

His origin to Lü Meng was a warrior. He served as one of the commanding generals in many battles, for example, in Hefei. He was admonished by Sun Quan to also include generic scholastic studies, and so was an able strategist. He took lessons from the famous Lu Su, who have been impressed with Lü Meng. Later, Lü Meng was the teacher of Lu Xun and told him that he would one day be his successor.

Lü Meng participated in the Battle of Fancheng back the Jing province of the Shu Han and Guan Yu defeated by ill and turned the then unknown Lu Xun began as a commander. Guan Yu was deceived and neglected his defense. Then Lü Meng attacked and occupied the province, where he treated the people well in order to turn them against Guan Yu. After Guan Yu and his son Guan Ping executed by hand, ill Lü Meng and died despite the efforts of Sun Quan.

In the history of the three kingdoms Lü Meng is owned and killed by the angry spirit of Guan Yu. According to other traditions to have been poisoned Lü Meng Guan Yu's successors.
