Lü GR

Lü ( [ ly ]? / I ) was until December 31, 2008, a municipality in the district of Val Müstair in the district of Inn in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland.

1 January 2009, Lü has merged with the other Swiss towns of the valley ( Fuldera, Müstair, Santa Maria Val Müstair Tschierv and Valchava ) to the municipality of Val Müstair.

Geography

The former municipality Lü located in the Val Müstair. With 1920 meters above sea level. M. Lü was the third highest municipality of Switzerland (see Obverse and Chandolin ).

History

1878, until then independent municipality Lüsai was fused to Lü. 2008, a municipality merger of Lü was reacted with five other municipalities municipality of Val Müstair, a project that was supported by the Canton of Graubünden with 8.6 million francs.

  • In December 2009, a Center for Public sky observation and amateur astrophotography Alpine Astrovillage Lü - Stailas was opened. It offers excellent geographical and meteorological conditions for astronomy.
