Lubenec

Lubenec ( German Lubens, also Lubenz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 13 kilometers south-west of Podbořany and belongs to Okres Louny.

Geography

Lubenec is located at the southeast foot of the mountain Doupov at the transition to Rakonitzer hills. The village lies at the confluence of the creek Struhařský creek in the Blšanka. To the north of the K Vescům collected ( 449 m), in the southeast of the Na Jelení ( 445 m ) south of the Čertovka ( 587 m) and west of the Jezerký vrch ( 588 m). By Lubenec lead the highway R 6 / E 48 from Prague to Karlovy Vary and the railway line Rakovníka - Bečov.

Neighboring towns are Libyně in the north, Drahonice in the northeast, Řepany in the east, Jelení the southeast, Ovcarna and Struhaře in the south, Žďárek, Chyše and Podštěly the southwest, Jezera, Nová Teplice and Libkovice in the west and Kostrčany, Petrův Mlýn and Nahořečice in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Luben took place in 1057 in the founding document of Kollegiatskapitels St. Stephan in Litoměřice by Spytihněv II This Ležky the village was also mentioned.

The owners were in the 18th century the Counts of Michna Vacínov. 1846 Franz Lehnert built on the site of the hunting lodge deer a porcelain factory. In addition, in deer was a sand quarry.

After the abolition of patrimonial Lubenz formed at 1850, market town in the district Luditz. 1930, Lubens 1164 inhabitants. After the Munich Agreement, the site was added to the German Reich and belonged until 1945 to the district Luditz. 1939 lived 1030 people in Lubens. 1948 Lubenec was assigned to the Okres Podbořany and Řepany and Vitkovice incorporated ( with Struhaře ). During this time Lubenec also lost its status as Městys. Since 1961, the community is part of the Okres Louny. In the same year the incorporation of Libkovice and Libyně ( with Horni Záhoří and Dolni Záhoří ) was performed. In 1978 Drahonice add a district. In 1981 Ležky was incorporated ( with Přibenice ).

The community Lubenec consists of the districts Dolni Záhoří (lower three yards ), Drahonice ( Drahenz ), Horni Záhoří (three yards ), Ležky ( Leschkau ) Libkovice (Lieb Schukowitzgasse ) Libyně ( Libin ), Lubenec ( Lubens ) Přibenice ( Pribenz ) Řepany ( Rschepan ) and Vitkovice (Witkowitz ). Basic settlement units are Dolni Záhoří Drahonice, Horni Záhoří Jelení ( deer), and Ležky, Libkovice Libyně, Lubenec, Přibenice, Řepany and Vitkovice. To Lubenec also the settlements Královské Údolí ( Königsthal ) Ovcarna ( sheep ) and Struhaře include ( Struharz ). On the hallways, the community is deserted Hájek ( Haikau ).

The municipality is divided into the Katastralbezirke Dolni Záhoří Drahonice u Lubence, Horni Záhoří Ležky, Libkovice Libyně, Lubenec, Přibenice and Vitkovice u Lubence.
