Luca Caldirola, 2011

Luca Caldirola ( born February 1, 1991 Desio ) is an Italian football player. The central defender is currently under contract at Werder Bremen. He was in 2013 captain of the Italian team, which reached the second place in the U-21 Football Championship.

Career

In the club

Luca Caldirola began at the age of five years with the football games. At the age of eight years Caldirola was discovered by Inter Milan and then went through all the youth teams of the Nerazzurri, he led in part as a captain. He won two national titles, but also the Torneo di Viareggio in 2008.

His first match practice in the A- team of Inter collected Caldirola 2009, when he came off the bench in a game against AC Milan. For the 2010/11 season he was loaned for a year at the Dutch first division club Vitesse Arnhem. At Vitesse, he went to eleven league bets before he returned to the Nerazzurri.

July 1, 2011 the Japanese undertook Inter Yuto Nagatomo from AC Cesena. But one left Cesena et al half of the transfer of rights and Caldirola of youth player Luca Garritano. Both clubs agreed that the two players remain for the time being in Milan. On December 7, 2011 Luca Caldirola were in the Champions League group stage against CSKA Moscow his competitive debut for the first team of the Nerazzurri.

In January 2012 Caldirola was loaned until the end of the season series B club Brescia Calcio. In the season 2012/13 he ran in the first half of the season for AC Cesena, while he was loaned in the back round again at Brescia.

In the summer of 2013 obliged the German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen Caldirola. Previously Bremen defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos had left the club. Its place should be occupied by a newcomer who, like Caldirola a strong left foot and experience. He received the jersey number 3

In the National Team

Luca Caldirola went through from the U-16 selection all youth national teams of Italy. His debut for the U-21 team of his country he gave on 17 November 2010 against the Turkish U- 21 team. In June 2013 he was awarded with the Devis Mangia trained team at the U-21 Football Championship in Israel the runner-up after one was beaten in the final of Spain with 2:4. Caldirola was selected after the tournament in which 23 players comprehensive All-Star Team.

Trivia

Caldirola is a fan of English football and especially of Tottenham Hotspur. His favorite player is, however, Alessandro Nesta.

Luca Caldirola originally started out as a goalkeeper before he was then first then in midfield and in defense. His father was a goalkeeper and played for several regional teams in Lombardy.
