Luca Scassa
Luca Scassa ( born August 23, 1983 in Arezzo, Tuscany, Italy ) is an Italian motorcycle racer.
Scassa starts since 2009 in the Superbike World Championship, his nickname is The Rocker.

Career
Luca Scassa got the enthusiasm for motorcycling already in the cradle. Father Luigi was even motorcycle racer and later worked as a mechanic. The Italians started motocross and moved to the road racing later. His first race ever, he played on a scooter and immediately won.
In 1999 Scassa third parties and the best rookie in the Aprilia 125 Cup the following year he finished second in this championship. In 2001 he won the EuroCup Aprilia 250 Challenge. 2002 and 2003 launched the Italians in the Coppa Italia Superstock 600, which he won in the second year.
Between 2004 and 2006, Luca Scassa went to both the FIM Superstock 1000 Cup as well as in the Italian Superstock 1000 Championship. In the first two years, he took on Kawasaki ZX -10R and Yamaha YZF -R1, respectively, the total ranks seven and four in this series. 2006 won the Aretines to MV Agusta, the Italian Championship in the Superstock 1000 class in the FIM Cup, he finished behind his compatriots Alessandro and Claudio Corti polita third.

Superbike World Championship
Season 2009
The 2009 season played Scassa as a regular driver for the factory-supported private Italian team Pedercini in the Superbike World Championship.
