Lucas Bols

Lucas Bols B. V. (formerly Lucas Bols Brand Group ) is a Dutch manufacturer of liqueurs based in Amsterdam. The production base is located in Zoetermeer.

History

Lucas Bols Amsterdam created in 1575 on the basis of the folded in his city Spices some spirits that are still produced today. These include the Blue Curacao.

Bols participated in the 1873 World Exhibition in Vienna, the stand was in the food hall. The Dutch costume, which carried the seller Chrisje Sterck is still preserved in the Museum Bols. The German branch, founded in 1922, destroyed in 1944 and rebuilt in 1948, Erven Lucas Bols AG, was in Emmerich, later in Neuss. The exclusive distribution later took over Germany for the Beam Global Germany GmbH (formerly Maxximum Germany GmbH ), headquartered in Wiesbaden, for the Maxximum Austria in Vienna Austria, and Switzerland, the company Dettling & Marmot from Wollerau.
