Lucas Foresti

Lucas Foresti ( born May 12, 1992, Brasília ) is a Brazilian automobile racing driver. He joined in 2012 and 2013 in the Formula Renault 3.5.

Career

After Foresti began his motorsport career in junior motocross, he moved in 2006 in karting, where he was active until 2008. In addition, Foresti 2008 was in two races in the American Formula BMW debut in Formula racing and finished the season in 13th place overall. The following season, he competed in the South American Formula 3 for Cesario Fórmula and finished with a win third place in the championship.

Foresti began in 2010 in the New Zealand Toyota Racing Series and was a win eighth in the overall standings. Foresti then moved to the British Formula 3 Championship. First he had signed a contract for the 2010 season at Hitech Racing, but he moved before the first race of the season to Carlin, who used six racing cars in the season. At Silverstone he scored his first podium in third place ranking in the British Formula 3 Championship. At the end of the season, he finished 13th overall. He also received a contract for the first season of the GP3 series, in which he was awarded second place as best result 19th in the overall standings at Carlin. When scheduling conflicts, he raced in the British Formula 3 Championship. In addition, he returned for seven races back in the South American Formula 3 Championship. He won three races. 2011 graduated Foresti his second season in the British Formula 3 Championship for Fortec Motorsport. With three victories, he rose to the rank seventh championship.

After 2011 Foresti won in 2012 for the second time discharged the Autódromo José Carlos Pace F3 Brazil Open. He then returned to Europe, where he took part in 2012 for DAMS in the Formula Renault 3.5. While his team-mate Arthur Pic with a win was eighth, Foresti ranked 23rd in the overall standings with a seventh place as best result. 2013 moved Foresti within the Formula Renault 3.5 to SMP Racing by Comtec. Foresti had no points and finished the season in 26th place overall. His teammate Daniil Mowe scored twelve points.
