Lucerne hammer

The Lucerne Hammer, also called Falk beak, is among the polearms. It is a war hammer, which usually has three features: a hammer side with sharp edges, an opposing sharp hooks ( beak ) and a piercing tip (also iron spit ) on a minimum of 150 cm long shaft. The weight of a Lucerne hammer is usually 2-6, rarely up to 14 kg.

This war hammers were used from simple infantry, but were also widespread among the knights in single combat on foot. They were used between the 14th and 16th centuries. Received its name of the Lucerne hammer by a mass discovery near Lucerne ( Switzerland ).
