Lucia Anguissola

Lucia Anguissola, (* 1537-1542 in Cremona; † before 1566 probably in Cremona ) was an Italian painter.

She was the sister of Sofonisba Anguissola. Their works reveal a clear influence by the older sister, who was probably also her teacher. As Giorgio Vasari visited the family in 1566, Lucia had already died.

Lucia painted mainly portraits. The few signed works tried to put some more work on the side, sometimes also attributed to her sister Sofonisba art scholarship.
