LucÃa Pinochet
Inés Lucía Pinochet Hiriart (* December 14, 1943 ) is a Chilean politician. She is the eldest daughter of former Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet.
Indicted for tax fraud, she traveled to the United States and applied for political asylum there. However, she was immediately deported to Argentina, where she had last resided. At her father's funeral in December 2006, she urged those present to keep the flame of freedom alive his government.
On 13 September 2007 Lucía Pinochet announced that they kandidiere as Independent for a seat in Parliament for a constituency in Santiago de Chile. On 5 October 2007, they were arrested her mother and her siblings as well as 16 other people, including generals in the Riggs affair on charges of embezzlement and use of false passports. After two nights were all released on bail.
Pinochet was elected as Councillor for the Municipality of Vitacura in the municipal elections of 2008.
