Lucie Laurier

Lucie Laurier ( born March 19, 1975 in Longueuil, Quebec ) is a Canadian actress.

Life and achievements

Lucie Laurier has eight older siblings, including actress Charlotte Laurier. Her mother Jeanne comes from the French part of Canada, and her father Raymond is from France. In 1981, Laurier the child in the play The Caucasian Chalk Circle by Bertolt Brecht on stage dar. 1985 she became a member of Cirque du Soleil and performed as an acrobat. A year later, she left him to go to France and even visited five years, a circus school.

1987 Laurier was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film Anne Trister drama by director Léa Pool for a Genie Award. In the successful Canadian television series Emilie (Les Filles de Caleb ) ( 1990), she played the title character in his early years. At the age of 15 Laurier left her parents and moved into an apartment in Montreal. 1992, 17 years ago, she gave birth to her son, Timothy, to the world. In the film, Chili's Blues ( C'était le 12 du 12 et Chili avait les blues ) ( 1994), directed by Charles Binamé they got the lead and title role. In a smaller role, she appeared in the spy thriller The Assignment - The Assignment (1997), directed by Christian Duguay on. In 1997, she moved to Los Angeles and worked in Dr. Mumford ( Mumford ) (1999) by Lawrence Kasdan with. In 2001, she returned to her home to Montreal, where she makes films in English and French. In medium-sized supporting roles, she starred in two comedies, namely as a post defender in The Great Seduction (La grande séduction ) (2003 ) by Jean -François Pouliot and a policewoman in C'est pas moi c'est l' autre ...! (2004) by Alain Zaloum with Roy Dupuis. In the action-comedy Bon Cop, Bad Cop (2006) directed by Eric Canuel she played alongside Patrick Huard.

Laurier also sings on albums by Bran Van 3000 and Jean Loup and occurs in music videos.
