Lucille Starr

Lucille Starr, civil Lucille Raymonde Marie Cunningham, ( born May 13, 1938 in Saint -Boniface ) is a Canadian country music singer.

Starr grew up in Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam. In 1954, she came to Vancouver, where they formed the duo Canadian Sweethearts with Bob Regan. The two married and moved to Los Angeles. Her solo song The French Song ( Quand le soleil dit bonjour aux montagnes, 1964) and the eponymous album was a worldwide success and earned her the first Canadian singer a gold record one. The album also hit the Colinda was included.

In 1981 their album Sun Shines Again, after she had recovered from singers nodules. Lucille Starr was inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in 1989.
