Lucius Marcius Philippus (consul 56 BC)

Lucius Marcius Philippus (c. 102 BC; † after 43 BC) was a politician of the late Roman Republic.

Philip was 62 BC and praetor 61-60 BC governor of Syria. In 58 BC, he married his second wife Atia, mother of Gaius Octavius ​​, the future emperor Augustus. 56 BC he was consul ( Gnaeus Cornelius Lentulus with Marcellinus ).
