Luckenbach
Luckenbach is a municipality in the Westerwald district in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Hachenburg.
Geography
The place is between Hachenburg and Betz village in the valley of the Little Nister. In the north- west of the town is Malberg, in the northeast of Rosenheim, in the east Nauroth, to the south and west Atzelgift Limbach. At Luckenbach includes the living space Lucke Bacher Ley.
History
1366 Luckenbach was first mentioned in a document, as John and Albert of Gebhardshain a piece of land received from the Abbey Marienstatt. Luckenbach had in 1579 and 1793 nineteen twenty houses. Notable buildings are not preserved; In 1950, the Gustav- Adolf- chapel of the parish Kroppach was built. In the vicinity of the place previously stood a mill ( at the chapel ) and former mines ( iron ore mines ).

The local council in Luckenbach consists of twelve council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
Attractions
250 m northwest of the measuring point 390.4 on the Nauberggelände is an old boundary stone with the inscription HN / KP 25 in the district; the Duchy of Nassau and the Kingdom of Prussia confined here from 1815, when the county of Sayn- old churches came to Prussia. South of the town runs the federal highway 414 which leads from Hohenroth after Hachenburg. The nearest motorway junctions are in Siegen, Herborn Wilnsdorf or on the motorway 45 (Dortmund - casting ), about 25 kilometers away. The nearest InterCityExpress stop is the railway station at Montabaur the high-speed line Cologne-Rhine/Main.
