Action

As settlers in the middle of the desert find a daisy in their search for a suitable piece of land, they see this as a sign and decided to settle there and found the city " Daisy Town ". Lucky Luke is there, Sheriff and freed the city from the four Dalton brothers, that individuals had suppressed over again. Lucky Luke enters into a relationship with the attractive singer Lotta.

However, the two find each other hardly time when Luke surrenders his whole time-consuming and stressful job. Soon dissatisfaction makes into town because Luke's exaggerated accuracy angered many. The situation is exploited by the Daltons, which apply to citizens against Luke. When the brothers of the city also incite the Indians, Lucky Luke to turn off the Daltons and so ultimately turn everything to the good.

Criticism

Disappointed The lexicon of the International film noted: " Terence Hills moody nostalgic staging exploits all too familiar spaghetti western cliches and never reaches the parodic tone of the original. Lucky Luke, the "Lonesome Cowboy" has barely anything from the slightly arrogant nobility of the comic book form, but all the more relevant by Hills known childlike charm. "

Background

  • The film is more reminiscent of Terence Hill films like My Name is Nobody is as though the plot in many parts of the animated film Lucky Luke on the classic Lucky Luke comics - Daisy Town and the comic book of the same matches.
  • After the VHS version has long been sold out, the film was released on 31 January 2008, first on DVD, the eponymous series has now also been released.

Comments

In the film can be heard two songs; "The Lonesomest cowboy in the West" is interpreted by Arlo Guthrie, " Lucky Luke Rides Again " by Roger Miller.

Continuation

Lucky Luke 2 (also: Lucky Luke - The new film ) is the name of the sequel (Original Title: Lucky Luke meets Ma Dalton and the Ghost Train). However, this is not an independent film, but a compilation of two episodes of the series, namely Episode 4 ( Ma Dalton is and will remain unique) and Episode 3 ( A nice train by magic ). The film came out on March 30, 1992 as the truly Italian series was not published in Germany.
