Lucrecia Kasilag

Lucrecia Kasilag ( born August 31, 1917 in San Fernando, † 16 August 2008) was a Filipino composer.

Kasilag studied in Manila and at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester. She worked as a Dean of the Faculty of Music and Fine Arts of the University of Manila, chairman of the Philippine Society of Composers and secretary a number of cultural associations.

In addition to a scenic and choreographic work for chorus, soloists, dance group and Asian instruments she has composed a piano concerto, a work for solo voice, Asian instruments and tape, the Mixed Kalaidoskop of Asia for mixed choir and Asian instruments, two exhibitions, five Philippine folk songs for women's choir, a song cycle and chamber works.
