Ludger Lohmann

Ludger Lohmann (born 1954 in Herne ) is a German organist and professor.

Lohmann studied at the Musikhochschule in Cologne church music and music education. In addition, he studied at the University of Cologne, musicology, philosophy and geography. He received his doctorate in 1981 with a dissertation on the articulation on keyboard instruments. The dissertation received much attention in the professional world. Some key statements were the subject of professional criticism, especially by the musicologist Hans Klotz.

After a teaching position at the Cologne College of Music, he was appointed professor at the Musikhochschule in Stuttgart.
