Ludivine Sagnier

Ludivine Sagnier ( born July 3, 1979 in La Celle -Saint-Cloud in the department of Yvelines) is a French actress. Notoriety they gained through their participation in three films by François Ozon: Drops on Burning Rocks, 8 Women and Swimming Pool.

Life

With nine years Sagnier first stood in front of the camera, played in several major productions and worked as a voice actor. At 16, she graduated from high school and then studied four years at the Conservatoire d'art dramatique in Versailles.

She became known for the movies 8 Women (2002) and Swimming Pool ( 2003), in which François Ozon directed. For both roles she was nominated for the César. For her role in 8 women she was awarded the Romy Schneider Award for young actresses, along with the other seven women the price of the European Film Academy for Best Actress and the Silver Bear at the Berlinale 2002.

Swimming pool cared for her breakthrough in France. A year later she played the fairy Tinkerbell in Peter Pan, her first Hollywood movie. Through the role of Tinkerbell and the director Claude Chabrol became aware of them. He could Sagnier for his film The Girl Cut in Two (2007) win in which she starred alongside Benoît Magimel and François Berléand. In 2010 she played the sister of Diane Kruger in the drama Barefoot on slugs. At the Berlinale 2011 she exhibited together with Dominic Cooper prior to their joint film The Devil's Double.

Ludivine Sagnier lives in Paris. From a relationship with her fellow actor Nicolas Duvauchelle, whom she met during the filming of the short film Les Frères Hélias 2002, a daughter was bold (* 2005). Another daughter (* 2009) came from the relationship with the film director Kim Chapiron.
