Ľudovít Lačný

Ľudovít Lačný ( born December 8, 1926 Banská Štiavnica ) is a Slovak chess composer.

Lačný studied mathematics, worked as a teacher and programmer, he is now retired.

Lačný was appointed by FIDE in 1957 to the International Jury for chess composition and 2005 as the International Master of chess composition. He is the namesake of the Lacny cycle, which he invented in 1949.
