Ludvig Schytte
Ludvig Schytte ( born April 28, 1848 in Aarhus, † November 10, 1909 in Berlin) was a Danish pianist, composer, music educator and writer on music.
Life
Schytte first studied in Copenhagen with Niels Wilhelm Gade and Edmund Neupert. In 1884 he went to Weimar, where he studied with Franz Liszt. From 1886 to 1907 he lived in Vienna, from then on until his death in Berlin. He wrote numerous smaller piano pieces, which are now referred to as salon pieces, a piano sonata and some stage works. Together with Moriz Rosenthal, he issued a piano school.
