Ludwig Adolf Petri
Ludwig Adolf Petri ( born November 16, 1803 in Lüthorst; † January 8, 1873 in Hannover ) was a theologian neulutherischer.
Life
After the village school, he attended the Amelungsbornsche convent school, then was trained in Loccum convent and later studied at the University of Göttingen. Then he became a pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover in the Holy Cross Church (Hannover).
Middle of the 19th century, he had a considerable influence on the Hanoverian clergy. In 1853 he founded at the Reformation, together with Rudolf Steinmetz and August Friedrich Otto münchmeyer the first Lutheran club treasury, from which later developed into the Martin- Luther -Bund. From 1866 to 1873 Peter was extraordinary spiritual member of the national consistory in Hanover.
