Ludwig Barnay (pseudonym for Louis White, born February 11, 1842 in Pest, Budapest today, † January 31, 1924 in Hannover) was a famous hero actor and later theater director.

Life

Ludwig Barnay was a son of the cantor of the synagogue of plague. With 18 years Barnay was in 1870 under the name Lacroix successful debut in Trautenau (Giant Mountains). After a small commitment in his hometown, he was engaged at the Burgtheater in Vienna.
