Ludwig I, Count of Württemberg

Louis I (c. 1119, † 1158 ) was from 1143 to 1158, Count of Württemberg.

Ludwig I was a son of Conrad II and the Hadelwig. Together with his brother Emicho he appears from 1134 to 1154 or from 1139 to 1154 at the court of King Conrad III. and Emperor Frederick I Barbarossa.

Ludwig I is the first of the family of Württemberg, which is referred to reliably documented as Count, and thus also the first Wirtemberger, the safe had a county. He was probably Vogt of the Canons of the Holy grave in Denkendorf monastery.
