Family Foundation Children's World

The Family Foundation Kinderreich to implement chic ideas regarding families in practice. After this the family is the original cell of social and ecclesial life. In it, a holistic education are being taught to the human condition. From Schick's view values such as respect, helpfulness, forgiveness and new beginnings are promoted daily in the family.

Foundation Bread for All People

His foundation bread for all people Schick pursues a threefold objective. Firstly, the small-scale agriculture should be promoted by them in developing countries. Furthermore, they will help to ensure that small farmers are high-quality seeds and fertilizers and irrigation facilities are available. The second pillar of the foundation is to transfer know -how, particularly in the agricultural technical training. Here is to be promoted in Senegal or Niger is an agricultural college. Funding for acute emergencies should be available as a third, especially in the Sahel and in North Africa, where it comes to crop failure again and again to the extraordinary drought. It should for people who are at risk of starvation, funding is provided to purchase food.

The blazon is: square; in field 1 and 4 in gold on the left -facing, Covered with a silver slant Links bar, red reinforced black lion; in box 2 in Gules, a book whose cover is decorated with the black subscribed crossed Greek letters chi and rho, the monogram of Christ Chrismon at the sides of the letters Alpha and Omega; in field 3 in blue a braided silver basket with five silver breads.

Symbolism: Field 1 and 4 show the coat of arms of the Archdiocese of Bamberg, field 2 and 3, the private components of the previous weihbischöflichen coat of arms. Book and breads are available for the Word of God in the gospel and for the Eucharist, also on behalf of the Diocese of St. Boniface Fuldarer (Book of the Gospel ) and Elizabeth of Thuringia ( bread of charity ). Biographical they symbolize Marburg as a place of baptism and Fulda as Weiheort Ludwig Schick.

The shield is surrounded by the heraldic rank images of a Metropolitan ( Archbishop ): the golden double cross, the green prelate with both sides of every ten green tassels on strings and the white pallium. The pallium and the two-row processional cross are the signs of a rank ruling metropolitans an ecclesiastical province. Below shield and pallium is a white tape on the personal motto Schick: " Sapientia nobis a Deo " - " The wisdom that is given to us of God" (1 Cor 1:30. ).

Episcopal insignia

The miter is a gift to Schick's Episcopal Ordination of the parish in which he was to spend 22 years as Subsidiar. It was sculpted by Sr. Hilaris hair angel OSB in the Benedictine Abbey of St Mary in Fulda. Schick put on a deliberately simple design value. In the center is an embroidered cross, which is decorated with a single pearl. This means for him: As a bishop, I beyond myself assign to Jesus Christ, the crucified and risen Lord. He and his gospel is the pearl, for which everything is worth to sell in order to purchase them.

The pectoral cross is made in the Abbey Muensterschwarzach. On a silver background the chart IHS (Jesus) is plotted in gold. The importance of the chart changed from antiquity to the Middle Ages from a mere symbol name to a message of salvation. Under the IHS medieval theologians understood the abbreviation for Jesus Hominum Salvator = Jesus, Redeemer of man. Schick understands the symbol on his pectoral cross in the medieval interpretation as referring to Jesus, in whom God became man.

The bishop's ring is a real ring council, Pope Paul VI. at the end of the Council made all the bishops. He is a gift from Eduard Schick, who took part in all meetings of the Council. Schick sees the ring as a sign of loyalty both to his archdiocese as well as to post-conciliar Church.

Therefore, the next UN climate conference would bring concrete results against the CO2 emissions, the monopolization of food as well as the purchase of large land and water surfaces are prevented. The people in the industrialized nations would contribute to reducing hunger in the world through conscious nutrition, energy conservation and reduced consumption. "If arable land, food and water supplies for speculative objects of the kingdoms of this world, the poor are the total loser. "

The parliamentary secretary of the Greens Volker Beck said: believers would need no other protection against criminal defamation, insult and incitement than other social groups. Franz Maget, church expert on the Bavarian SPD, held the advance to be unnecessary, since blasphemy does not constitute a relevant social problem.
