Ludwig Stiegler

Ludwig Stiegler ( born April 9, 1944 in Parsberg, Bavaria) is a lawyer and a German politician of the SPD.

Stiegler was July-October 2002 Chairman of the SPD Parliamentary Group and, except this time, from 1998 to 2007 one of its Vice-Chairman. In the years 2003 to 2009 Stiegler was also chairman of the SPD Bavaria.

Life and career

Ludwig Stiegler was born the son of Louis and Walburga Stiegler from Vilshofen 1944 in Parsberg. The father was Kalkwerker in Maxhiitte. Ludwig Stiegler grew up in the Upper Palatinate in Vilshofen near vineyards. After primary school in Vilshofen Stiegler attended from 1956 Progymnasium the Claretians in White Horn, before he moved to the Erasmus Gymnasium in Amberg 1960. After high school, 1964, Stiegler committed initially as a regular soldier in the army. In 1967, he retired as a lieutenant of the reserve. He then began to study law, sociology and politics in Munich and Bonn, which he finished in 1973 with the First and 1976 with the Second State Examination. Since 1979 he has been admitted to the bar at the Higher Regional Court of Cologne.

Ludwig Stiegler is married to Barbara Stiegler, has three children and lives in pastures.

Party

1960 Ludwig Stiegler initially joined a local chapter in the JU- Vilshofen 1964 moved Stiegler in the SPD. 1999 to 2007 he was a member of the party executive, from 2005 to 2007 and the Bureau of the SPD. Member of Parliament

Since 1980 he was a member of the German Bundestag. From 1987 to 1992 and from 1994 to 2005 he was chairman of the Bavarian SPD Regional Group in the German Bundestag. Since 1998 he was a member of the board of the SPD parliamentary group. From July to October 2002, he was then chairman of the SPD parliamentary group. From October 2002 to 2007, he was one of its Vice-Chairman.

Ludwig Stiegler always pulled over the national list Bavaria in the Bundestag. His constituency was pastures.

His membership ended with the 16th German Bundestag in 2009. Stiegler was no longer a candidate for the 17th legislature.

Criticism

In July 2002, he said, the opposition parties, the CDU and FDP had no right to criticize in the context of the debate about the NPD ban the Schily, as their predecessor parties finally Adolf Hitler would have helped to power.
