Ludwig Wullstein

Ludwig Wullstein ( born April 22, 1864 in Leopold Hall; † 11 October 1930 in Essen) was a German surgeon.

After graduating from the Knight Academy (Brandenburg) Wullstein studied medicine in Leipzig, Wurzburg and Berlin. Since 1888 he was a member of the Corps Rhenaniastraße Würzburg.

In Göttingen designed for surgeons, he worked on one of the first in Germany with the scoliosis. Since 1906 Professor, he became in 1913 chief physician of the Miners' Hospital Bochum.

His given out with Max Wilms Textbook of Surgery set standards for half a century.
