Luesia

Luesia is a Spanish municipality in the province of Zaragoza the Aragon Autonomous Region. It belongs to the comarca of Cinco Villas ( five towns ). The municipality had 325 inhabitants on 1 January 2013. It is located above the Arba de Luesia, one of the headwaters of the Río Arba, at the foot of the Sierra de Santo Domingo. The north of the municipal territory reaches a height of up to 1,303 m ( Puig Moné ).

History

The place is mentioned in Cartulario de San Juan de la Peña for the first time in 1014 and was part of the Judicial District of Sos del Rey Católico.
