History
In 1157 Augwil was first mentioned in documents as Luvingen than canon Domenicus in Strasbourg gave lands in Augwil the monastery of St. Blaise in the Black Forest.

The court rule Augwil was established in December 1645 of St. Blaise Monastery, sold at its Zurich office in man Stampfenbach, Gerold Edlibach. The Council of Zurich approved this purchase and conferred Edlibach the Lehnsrechte, as the city was supreme lord of their subjects area. In 1647 he sold the court rule to his brother, Johann Heinrich Waser, Vogt of Kyburg and then Mayor of Zurich.
