Lufthansa Regional is a company incorporated in 2004, the umbrella brand for currently three regional airlines that carry out on behalf of and under the flag of Lufthansa for these regional and commuter flights. Its predecessor was the team Lufthansa.
Currently three airlines operate under the brand Lufthansa Regional:
- Air Dolomiti
- Euro Wings
- Lufthansa CityLine
All three are 100 % - owned subsidiaries of Lufthansa. Euro Wings to operate flights on behalf of German Wings exclusively from October 2014.
- Augsburg Airways lost October 26, 2013, contract with Lufthansa.
- Contact Air lost to October 2012 the contract with Lufthansa, but already retired in September 2012 from the composite out and walked on in OLT Express Germany.
Lufthansa Regional offers a direct connection from regions with each other and the connection of the regions to the main hubs of Lufthansa in Frankfurt and Munich. The brand identity of Lufthansa Regional is strongly geared to the corporate design of Lufthansa, so all machines are finished in white, the color of the label is blue and the defining colors of the tail are yellow and blue. Lufthansa CityLine is the only company of the composite, which leads the Crane, the Lufthansa logo on the vertical tail, Euro Wings has a special regional design ( yellow dots on a blue background). All machines from Lufthansa CityLine bear the words "Lufthansa Regional" with the addition " Operated by Lufthansa Cityline " in Lufthansa -Helvetica and the Lufthansa logo under the side cockpit windows and the Star Alliance logo next to the cockpit window. In contrast, bear the Bombardier CRJ900 from 23 Euro Wings of collective legal reasons, his name and neither Lufthansa nor the Star Alliance logo.
